Gliph was created to give you control over your personal information. We refer to each piece of personal information you add to Gliph as Facet™ information. It is your choice whether you make any Facet information public or share a particular piece of Facet information with others.
We encrypt all private Facet information and Gliph messages using the AES-256 cryptography algorithm and a key generated from your secret password.
Gliph Privacy Mission Statement
- You own your Facet information.
- You control your Facet information and decide exactly who gets to see which Facet information.
- We do not and will never sell your data, in anonymous form or otherwise.
- We do not allow third parties to access your Facet information, unless you specifically give your consent.
- We do use tools (such as cookies) to collect technical and non-personal information (e.g. browser type, device hardware, etc) to review how people interact with Gliph. Collecting this information helps us make the service better. However, we do not collect personal information without your consent.
- We do use trusted service providers to assist in sending email and to help provide us with information about the use of our services. Our trusted service providers do not have access to your private Facet information. Your email address is an exception; it may be shared to assist in sending you email from Gliph.
- We keep your Facet information and Gliph messages encrypted with a key generated by a password only you know.
- We do not allow others to track you while you are on Gliph (except as described above for technical, non-personal analytics).
- We do not track your information across the Internet.

Information We Collect
You consent to our collection, transfer and storage of information as described below.
Information You Provide to Us
We receive and store only the information you provide to us, including the Facet information you choose to add. Information you provide as Facet information may include your name, email address, Twitter handle, website address, profile photo, and other information. We store your Facet information on our servers and encrypt them as described below (See "How We Protect Information"). Except for your email address, we cannot see your Facet information unless you choose to share them with us and/or make them public. You can choose not to add certain Facet information, but this may limit your ability to take advantage of certain services or features we offer.
Information We Automatically Collect From You
We automatically receive and store certain types of technical and non-personal information whenever you interact with our products and services. This helps us enhance your experience, but this information does not identify you personally — you remain anonymous.
We may collect information such as your IP address, cookie information, device hardware information, browser type and language, system type, whether you have enabling software to access certain features, referring website URLs, and other information about your interactions with us. This information helps us keep you logged in, remember your preferences, confirm delivery of email communications, and generally observe how people are using our products and services. We may also collect your location data, but only with your explicit consent and if you choose to add geo-location as a Facet.
We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 13.
You may receive emails from us from time to time, for instance to notify you of new features, important changes to our products and services, specials or promotions, to request information regarding your account or to provide you with information that you request. You consent to the receipt of such emails.
How We Use Information
The information we gather enables us to provide you with our products and services and to help administer your account. You consent to our use of your information to do the following:
- Enable you to use and navigate our products, services, features and other activities
- Enhance, customize and personalize your Gliph experiences and communications.
- Operate, provide, improve and maintain our products and services, including analyzing anonymous user behavior.
- Send you administrative or customer service messages and other information (including promotions or features) in which we believe you may be interested.
Information We Share
You consent to our sharing of information for the purposes described below.
Trusted Service Providers
We may share your information with our trusted service providers to conduct business on our behalf. For example, they may handle maintaining servers, sending email, analyzing data, processing credit card payments, providing customer service, shipping, information analysis, data management and to administer certain features.
Please keep in mind that any information you make public or discoverable on Gliph will be accessible by other users and may be used by them. However, you control the Facet information you keep private and you decide what you choose to share with others.
By Law or to Protect Rights
However, we can only disclose data to which we have access. If Password Reset is disabled, your Facet information and Gliph messages are encrypted and we do not store your password. So, we could only ever provide such information in its encrypted form. We could provide all other non-encrypted data, such as your email address and IP address.
If your information is requested by a legal authority for any reason, we will notify you by email unless legally prevented from doing so.
With Your Consent
We may share information when you provide us with your express consent to do so. For instance, when you request information or services from our affiliates or partners, you provide your consent for us to share certain information with them. Please note that whenever you post public information on or through our products and services you are giving us your consent to share that information publicly.
Our affiliates and partners may request to see your Facet information through our API. Your permission is required to share your Facet information and we only deliver it to those whom you designate. We may also use third party APIs to transfer data from another source into your Gliph Facet information, but only with your consent and direction. The third party source would know that you're exporting the data to Gliph.
Information You Share
Except as described above (see "Information We Share"), you control your Facet information and you are responsible for what you choose to share and how you choose to interact with others. In order to participate in certain features, you may have to share certain Facet information, but it is always your choice. You may change or delete your sharing settings at any time.
How We Protect Information
We use a variety of security measures, including encryption and authentication tools to make security a priority.
Regardless of these industry-leading efforts, we cannot 100% guarantee the security or confidentiality of the information you provide to us over the Internet or through electronic storage. We are not responsible for the actions of others or the circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures. If we discover a security breach that compromises your personal information, we will inform you in accordance with applicable law.
Protect Your Information
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password and restricting access to your computer or device from which you access Gliph from. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. Please, keep your password secure. Do not share your password with anyone else. We recommend you change your Gliph password periodically and do not use the same password on any other service.
Access to Information
To modify or delete your Facet information, please adjust your settings. You can also choose to delete your Gliph account and "give up" your Gliph digital identity. Your deleted data will be completely removed following our first backup rotation.
Notifications and Communications
We may use e-mail or notifications to notify you of our special offers, newsletters, alerts and features, allow you to administer your password, validate your requests and provide customer support. To unsubscribe and stop receiving certain types of messages, follow the instructions in the email or adjust settings regarding notifications.
Regardless of the settings you select, we may still send you service-related communications. If you have unsubscribed from any of our communications, you may temporarily continue to receive communications already in production due to production schedules.
Third Party Sites
We are not responsible for the content of any pages, websites, applications or other services linked to or from our products and services. Links appearing on our products and services are for convenience only and are not an endorsement by us or our affiliates or their partners of the referenced content, product, service or supplier. Your linking to or from any off-site pages or other websites is at your own risk. You should carefully review the terms and conditions and privacy policies of all other pages, websites, applications and other services that you visit and/or use.
